11 Justice

The Justice Card - Tarot of Empowerment Deck by Judith Sult and Gordana Curtis

Know that everything is connected
Be aware, all actions have consequences
Act with balance, fairness and harmony
Lady Justice will always serve you in truth

Justice is about making a decision, or being judged, based on the rules in a given situation. It’s important to understand what the rules are because the fairness of decisions will be based upon them. Unlike the highest moral laws of the High Priestess, the laws of Justice are manmade.
Justice is often referred to as the “karma card” because all actions have consequences. It is a reminder that the established rules affect the present, as the present rules will affect the future. Everyone must be following the same rules for decisions and outcomes to be fair.

In Tarot of Empowerment, the Justice card is represented by Lady Justice in the center of the ever expanding yin/yang circle. Everything is connected; opposite or opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent. Every action has a consequence.

Upright: When Justice comes up in a reading, it suggests that you are being called upon to make a decision to balance actions fairly and without prejudice according to the rules in play. It is time to be mindful that there are consequences to every deed.

In legal matters the Justice card indicates that the decision will be just and fair according to the rules, even if it is not the outcome you desire. All of the facts must be given equal consideration.

Empowerment: You are empowered by Justice when you make fair decisions based on the rules, no matter the emotions or relationships involved.

Reversed: You may feel you have been treated unfairly. Be sure that you understand the rules by which you are being judged. As a block, this card suggests you are not willing to accept the rules that are in effect and you are feeling mistreated.
Numerology: Justice is the number 11, which is a spiritual number. Eleven reduces to 2, which is about balancing the polarities in a given situation. Other cards that reduce to 2 are the High Priestess (2) and Awakening (20).
